Xellerion relies on a patented, non-porous, solid-state, polymer-based, hydroxide-ion conducting membrane to solve the dendrite problem. Based on discoveries made at Xellerion parent company, eVionyx, this unique membrane effectively stopped dendrite formation while preserving the high power densities and high energy densities inherent to Nickel-Zinc batteries. Best of all, Xellerion membrane can be easily and cheaply manufactured, giving Xellerion the low-cost advantage.

Xellerion's mission is to commercialize its nickel-zinc batteries for a wide suite of applications, including transportation, portable power, backup power, and stationary power.
